Vanity Vents are made of very durable material but sometimes in the manufacturing process the base material (before it is cut to size and machined) has minor imperfections. These imperfections are normally not noticeable to the naked eye if you are 4-5 feet away and certainly not visible if someone is standing on your sidewalk looking at your home. But just the same… we don’t want to sell our customers an imperfect vent cover at a perfect vent cover price.
Some of our “imperfect” vent covers have a slight scuff (normally on the back of the vent cover) or a slightly damaged edge/corner or some other imperfection of little consequence. While these “imperfect” Vanity Vents are heavily discounted, the materials used are the same as our “perfect” Vanity Vents and they are of great quality.

If a Vanity Vent picks up an imperfection in the manufacturing process or a knick during shipping from the factory, we’re don’t want to sell them as “perfect” quality. It’s a quality standard we’re committed to and will never compromise on. However, this also means we’re left with a limited supply of perfectly good inventory without any place to go – so why not give you the best deal ever!
Similar to our standards of “mint condition”, Vanity Vents qualifying as “imperfects” is a title only certain Vanity Vents can achieve. It is not a catch-all for any non-mint vent cover. Instead, “imperfects” are Vanity Vent covers with minor exterior imperfections – their performance is never reduced. We select our “imperfects” very carefully.
You should feel confident in purchasing “imperfect” Vanity Vents because you’ll be getting the same high-quality product every Vanity Vent customer receives. You will just get a little extra personality in your crawl space vent cover… and like we mentioned… no one will ever know or ever see the “imperfection”. The performance and functionality are the exact same as our mint condition Vanity Vents – the biggest difference is just the price.
Due to the nature of a sale like this, all items sold as “imperfect” are Final Sale and will not be eligible for exchange or return. Be sure to measure before you buy to ensure your new Vanity Vents will fit your existing outside foundation vents. Our Vanity Vent covers fit a standard size foundation crawl space vent opening that is 17in long by 8.25in tall… (this measurement is from the outside top, bottom and side edges of your crawl space vent).

Q1. WHAT IS A VANITY VENTS “IMPERFECT” SALE?
We’ve made this webpage to offer an opportunity for everyone to purchase Vanity Vents at a reduced price. Our “imperfects” webpage is a limited collection of Vanity Vent covers that don’t quite meet the standards to be sold as “mint condition”. We call them “imperfects”. Most of the time these “imperfects” came from our manufacturer in less than perfect condition. While these Vanity Vent crawl space foundation vent covers are heavily discounted, the materials used are the same as our mint-condition foundation vent covers and are of great quality. Note that each “imperfect” vent cover purchased will have a different imperfection… again, hardly noticeable. See some examples here… you’ll notice that you can hardly see the imperfection in the images and remember… the imperfections are typically on the back side of your Vanity Vent cover:
Q2. WHAT IS “PERFECT” VS “IMPERFECT”?
On our product page, based on current availability, you may have the option to select a “Perfect” product vs “Imperfect” product. “Perfect” means the Vanity Vent covers are in near-mint condition with very minimal marks. Note that Vanity Vents is a construction product and much like any construction product (wood, nails, etc.) they are rugged and each piece has its own individual character… in most cases even our “perfect” products aren’t perfect. 😊 Our “imperfect” products can show slight swirl marks or a minimal smudge marks, but still in great condition and quality. Note that not every Vanity Vent color will be available in both conditions.
Q3. WHAT IF YOUR WEBSITE DOESN’T HAVE “IMPERFECT” VANITY VENT COVERS AVAILABLE CURRENTLY?
If you do not see any “Imperfect” Vanity Vent crawl space vent covers available in the color that you want to purchase on the webpage then they are not currently available… they are all sold out. We have no idea when we will have more… there is no way to predict. We don’t get a lot of “imperfect” vent covers in general… but when we do we will make them available on this webpage.
Q4. WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY FOR “IMPERFECT” SALES?
Because of the heavily discounted nature of the Vanity Vent covers in this collection, all purchases are FINAL SALE. No returns or exchanges are offered on these products with no exceptions. Q5. WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
Orders placed before 11am PST M-F generally ship the same or next business day. Orders placed after 11am PST each day will be shipped the next business day. In some cases due to high order volumes, orders may delay up to 48 hours. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be received by the warehouse for shipping on the next business day.
Q6. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
We do not ship internationally.
Q7. WHAT IF MY PACKAGE IS LOST OR STOLEN?
An investigation will be opened with the carrier. Once the investigation is concluded, the item will be rerouted to the original delivery address, or if the package is confirmed lost by the carrier, a store credit will be provided for your next purchase. After a delivery is made, we assume no responsibility for lost or stolen items. We do not replace items that are stolen after delivery.
